Happy Monday Morning Blooms, dear readers! To celebrate Mother’s Day, it is such a joy to be joining my talented flower loving friends, Pam at Everyday Living, Mary at Home is Where the Boat Is, and Lidy at the French Garden House, as a guest bloomer.
On the first Monday of each month, my friends share their stunning floral creations. I adore flowers and will jump at any opportunity to share my love of them. You will find the links to Pam’s, Mary’s, and Lidy’s florals at the end of this post.
Sunday will mark that special day set aside to honor mothers. I have been blessed with a wonderful mother and two precious grandmothers, and I dedicate this post to them. Their love and guidance have made me the woman and mother that I am today.
I chose to set my table in the beautiful outdoors. A gorgeous April Cornell tablecloth served as the inspiration for my setting. The vibrant colors and pretty florals are perfect for celebrating mothers.
“All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother.”-Abraham Lincoln
“Mothers hold their children’s hands for a short while, but their hearts forever.”-Unknown
The tea set is my favorite Spode Blue Italian one and is placed upon a lovely silver tray that was a wedding gift.
“A mother’s love for her children is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity, it dates all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands in its path.”-Agatha Christie
“The influence of a mother in the lives of her children is beyond calculation.”-James E. Faust
For the floral arrangement, I chose a white pitcher and filled it with roses in shades of pink, red, and coral. To the bouquet, I added pink tipped carnations, purple flowers, and golden rod. White Yarrow gathered from the roadside on my morning walk completes the arrangement of blooms.
Being a mother is one of my greatest achievements. It is an important role that is filled with joy, worry, heartbreak, and pride. No matter the age of your children, you never stop being a mother. Once you become a mother, it is a title that you will carry with you forever. I could not let this post go by without mentioning my three greatest accomplishments…Hayden Darin, Caroline Rose, and Reid Hall. I will never be famous or successful in a career, but I will always be the mother who loves her children more than anything in this world.
“A Mother’s love is something that no one can explain, it is made of deep devotion and of sacrifice and pain, it is endless and unselfish and enduring come what may for nothing can destroy it or take that love away.”-Helen Steiner Rice
Sweet friends, thank you for your visits and kind comments. Please be sure to visit my flower loving friends for their Mother’s Day floral creations. I wish you a most happy day and blessed week ahead.
